AVAILABILITY
Eastlake Tattoo is an appointment only shop. Typically Michael is booked out anywhere from a couple weeks to a few months. Availability will be determined by his current workload as well as the type of tattoo you are looking for. For example small flash tattoos may be available faster than larger, custom drawn pieces. Each piece is booked on a case by case basis.
CONSULTATION

DEPOSIT
Once we’ve discussed your ideas and decided on an appropriate timeline/game plan a deposit will typically be required to book the tattoo time. Deposits may vary from $80-$200 or more depending on the extent of the design. Deposits are non-refundable and hold the appointment spot and ensure that you are serious about showing up for your tattoo. If you change your mind about the piece, or something comes up which makes you unable to make your appointment, your deposit will remain on the books for future use. We know that illness or unexpected events can pop up and reschedules may need to happen. As long as Michael is given 24-48 hours notice before a reschedule, your deposit will stand.
RATE
Shop rate is $200 per hour for custom drawn work. Shop minimum is $80 for small pieces. Deposits will be applied to the last session when working on pieces that take multiple sessions. If you are working with a specific budget please let us know and we can design something accordingly that will fit most budgets! If it is a piece that can be done in one sitting, occasionally an agreed upon price can be quoted for the piece. Each tattoo and situation is unique so we work case by case and try to accommodate everyone within reason.

AFTERCARE
Your new tattoo will be wrapped using Saniderm, which is a transparent adhesive bandage. It makes the healing process easy and effective and can speed up healing time. It contains a surgical adhesive which will stay on the skin extremely well. You can shower with this on. It is recommended that you leave the Saniderm on at least 3-4 days (but it is ok to leave on up to a week).
As soon as the bandage is removed clean your tattoo thoroughly. First wash your hands, then wash your tattoo by hand removing all plasma from the skin. Removing the bandage and cleaning the fresh tattoo is easiest when done in the shower. Plain white soap or antibacterial soap is recommended. Try to avoid soap with added perfumes or scents. Rinse the area well and either air dry or pat dry with a clean towel. You may use a desired ointment (such as Aquaphor) or lotion as a moisturizer. The tattoo will heal fine on its own, but adding an unscented moisturizer can be soothing and also make the tattoo look nicer when going through its healing process.
Typically once the bandage is removed your tattoo will go through a dry and flaky phase lasting around a week or so. The top layer of skin will sometimes flake off revealing your newly tattooed skin. If there are any small scabs just let them heal naturally, please do not scratch or pick at your new work.
